The Church of St Mary’s (DY14 8JU) is sited not far from the Ford.  The Chancel and Nave are thought to be late Norman, with the western tower a little later in date, and a 16th century porch. The font is modern.

In 1825, the wooden spire was struck by lightning and burnt, and was not replaced. The bells at the same time were melted. The Church was restored in 1882, at a cost of £1,300, raised by subscription.

St Mary’s has recently undergone refurbishment in 2013/2014 thanks to local fundraising and an English Heritage Grant.

The Church holds regular services, details of which are on the notice board in the Church Porch.

Service dates vary for special occasions throughout the Church year: Easter including The Procession of the Cross when the clergy and parishioners walk to worship in each Church in the Benefice, Compline and Easter Sunday; Harvest Festival and Supper; Christmas Carol Service and Christmas Mass.

The Vicar Revd Ashley Buck, of the Cleobury Mortimer Benefice is ably assisted in rotation by the other vicars in the Benefice.

The Church Wardens are Mrs M Shackleton and Mr J Haywood.
