WWI Commemoration Poppies

The COPAG Councillor Group have sown 112,000 poppy seeds at Six Ashes.

A kind Parishioner had suggested that this would be a fine and fitting way to commemorate the centenary year of WWI.

After a strenuous strimming and tidying session around the junction and roads, we broadcast the seeds; and luckily for us the heavens opened to aid with germination!

Notoriously difficult to germinate, we hope that they will flourish and be appreciated and allow us to reflect for years to come.
